The Historic Clatworthy Cabin was originally built in the early 1900's and completly remolded in 2006. Located in the heart of Estes Park across the street from the Big Thompson River.
This cabin allows you all the comforts of the mountains and is located about four blocks from downtown and is about four miles from the Rocky National Park Entrance.
The Clatworthy Cabin offers: ~ Three bedrooms Master bedroom on main level with queen bed Private room on main level with queen bed Third bedroom on lower level has a daybed ~ Two full bathrooms and one three quater bathroom Master bathroom has a large walk-in shower and vanity with double sinks Full bath on main level with shower/tub combination Half bath on lower level with shower and small vanity ~ Sun room with great views of Longs Peak ~ Dinning room with two large picture windows ~ Living room with gas fireplace and lots of seating ~ Flatscreen TV with cable and DVD/VCR player ~ Galley style kitchen with refrigerator, gas range and microwave stocked with dishes, pot, pans, and utensils for your cooking convenience. ~ Washer and Dryer
Off of the main living room is the "bonus" Rock/Cave Room. This rock room is full of history and built right into Little Prospect Mountain.
This cabin was built by the second Mayor of Estes Park, Fred P. Clatworthy, who settled in the area in 1905.
Mr. Clatworthy was a well known photographer whose work has been featured in the Colorado Museum in Denver. Many of his original photographs are displayed throughout the cabin along with many other prized collections.
Outside the deck is also built into the rocks and is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the mountain air.
This cabin is listed with the National Historic Society.
